Andrew Woodruff | Cello
Andy studied cello with Ronald Feldman (Boston Symphony) and Jerry Kupchynsky (NJ). He has performed in master classes for Orlando Cole and Julian Schwarz and received chamber music coaching from Noël Regney. Regarding orchestra playing, Andy has served as a section cellist in the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra for 20 years, and he frequently subs in other professional orchestras. Regarding chamber music, Andy is a current member of two groups, the Half Mile Common Piano Trio and the Walker-Woodruff Duo. Andy has also studied physics and mathematics, and he teaches the “math of music theory” to students who are interested in this subject.
